Triumph | TR3A | 1958

The Triumph TR3 is a sports car produced between 1955 and 1962 by Standard Triumph in England. The face lifted variant, and the variant we have here is popularly but unofficially known as the TR3A. She entered production in 1957 and the final version, unofficially the TR3B, was produced in 1962.TR3-river-6Although the TR3A was usually supplied as an open two-seater, an occasional rear seat and bolt-on steel hard top were available as extras.

The car was powered by a 1991 cc straight-4 ohv engine, coupled to a four speed manual gearbox which could be supplemented by an overdrive unit on the top three ratios.
Triumph | TR3A | 1958 - DartmoorUnder most conditions the car was very responsive and forgiving, and is a true roadster, designed for sunny weather but with removable rain protection.

First registered in this country in June 2000 as a Californian import, this car was then restored and converted to right hand drive. It received a ‘full nut and bolt restoration’ including the chassis being powder coated. Triumph | TR3A | 1958 - horses for coursesThere is also a letter from the Motor Industry Heritage Trust confirming the year of manufacture as 1958, and this is sold with the car. Included is a large file of bills relating to this cars restoration. It is sold with a V5c. PSL 554

MGA | 1600 GT | Mk II | 1961

This MGA is a sports car produced by MG division of the British Motor Corporation from 1955 to 1962.MGA | 1600 GT | Mk II | 1961 - 1The MGA replaced the MG TF 1500 Midget and represented a complete styling break from MG’s earlier sports cars. It was announced to the world on 26 September 1955.

The car was officially launched at the Frankfurt Motor Show. A total of 101,081 units were sold through the end of production in July 1962, the vast majority of which were exported.
Only 5869 cars were sold on the home market, the highest export percentage of any British car. It was replaced by the MGB.MGA | 1600 GT | Mk II | 1961 - 3

This car is a 1961 Mark II MGA. The engine size in this particular version was increased to 1622 cc by increasing the bore from 75.4 mm (2.97 in) to 76.2 mm (3.00 in). The cylinder head was also revised with larger valves and re-engineered combustion chambers. Horsepower increased to 90 bhp. It also had a higher ratio 4:1 rear axle, which made for more relaxed high-speed driving. MGA | 1600 GT | Mk II | 1961 - 2An inset grille and Morris Mini tail lamps appearing horizontally below the deck lid were the most obvious visual changes. 8,198 Mark II roadsters and 521 coupés were built.

Road & Track magazine reviewed the MG A 1600 Mark II in the September 1961 issue and reported an estimated top speed of 105 mph and a 0-60 acceleration of 12.8 seconds.MGA | 1600 GT | Mk II | 1961 - 4

This examples engine was rebuilt in the 1990s; the paintwork is very bright and in good condition and the interior was re-upholstered about ten years ago. The car is believed to have never been fully restored, but largely maintained and cherished. The result is a highly useable example that will draw crowds wherever it goes.

Porsche 912 | 1969 | Irish Green rebuild

This Irish Green Porsche 912 was manufactured in 1969 making it a rare long wheel base model. Aficionados will already know the 912 was Porsche’s budget model at the time with its 4 cylinder 356 derived motor. This particular example was equipped with a 5 speed gearbox with a dogleg shift pattern the same as could be found in the 911 of the same year. The car was also specified new from the factory with a tan leather interior which looks fantastic against the deep Irish green exterior colour.Porsche 912 1969 shellThe current owner purchased the vehicle some years ago and enjoyed several years use before accepting the fact the car really required restoration. R TO RSR Ltd. was entrusted with the task of bringing this car back to its former glory carrying out a full body, mechanical and interior restoration for the client.

The car was delivered to us in a stripped state as the customer was very keen to be involved with the process and was more than happy to get his hands dirty! Once in the workshop the car was found to be structurally in surprisingly good condition. Repairs were carried out to the front suspension mounts, windscreen corners and floors due to rust issues with some accident damage also evident on the O/S front corner. A new O/S front wing was also required due to excessive corrosion and this was supplied direct from Porsche via their classic parts program. In all some 150hrs in total was required on the shell to prior to it being painted in original Glasurit Irish Green.Porsche 912 | 1969 | Shell Whilst the body was being worked on all the suspension components were stripped and powder coated to give them an as new durable finish prior to them being re-fitted with new bushes and bearing throughout. The only concession to originality so far is the use of a Super Pro bush kit which are now very popular in the classic car world.15413964290_661bb5d80c_kThe interior re-trim has now started with a new ivory headliner in place which once again works very well against the exterior colour. Classics at the castle Headingham

1964 Porsche 901 arrives at R TO RSR Ltd.

Working very closely with one of our long term clients we have managed to broker a deal which has resulted in this very rare car being restored in our workshops here in Devon.

Chassis no. 300147 has had a fascinating history which has seen it raced extensively throughout  Scandinavia and Europe during the 1960’s.

Courtesy of Classic Porsche magazine the car can be viewed for the first time in many years at this years “Classics at the castle”  on September 2nd at Castle Hedingham in Essex.

This tank is designed to be a fit, form and functional improved replacement for the std 911 dry sump tank.

Standard hose connections as in the original tank configuration and a billet filter mount in the same location as the std tank.

Supplied with adapters to accommodate various styles of filters IE: Fram HP-1. Red Anodized is standard however other colour choices are available for a small charge.

This is the racing version which does not have the Filter mounting on the tank. It has -16 fittings or -12 fittings which can be designated when placing the order.
